Printer Layout settings for prepunched paper on a 3880
« on: September 17, 2021, 06:41:05 pm »

Hello:
I am going to print on Moab 13"x12" Entrada paper on a 3880. Don't have spare sheets to experiment. Can I get guidance on how to set up the layout so the printer recognizes a 1" margin on the left and prints as though the paper is a 12"x12" and image is centered correctly with a 10" border?
I went through the 3880 manual and couldn't figure it out.
Thanks.

Lightroom, just set the borders you want.
Find some scrap paper lying around and cut yourself a couple of 13x12's and do some tests if you don't have Lightroom.

Beside Dan's suggestion, you could use Photoshop's print dialogue to
  • set the image to be centered on the page
  • increase "left value" +1" afterwards

Qimage is a very cost effective printing solution in case you don't have access to Lightroom/Photoshop. Benefit: it shows via a dotted line which side of the print comes out of your printer at the end.
