It's a Rainy Night in Florida
« on: August 24, 2021, 09:50:16 pm »

Though, since June 1, it's rained pretty much every day. Starting to feel like a rain forest.

That is gorgeous.
When we get rain, the skies are generally just muddy gray and blah-looking.

It was lovely light, indeed, but the harbinger of a very wet night. Thanks for the nice comments by all.

Indeed yes. The sky in itself could be an image.

Lovely image. And since you have much more rain than you need, please send some of it out west. Our rivers and lakes are drying up, and the forests and fields are burning up. This country desperately needs a water re-distribution program.

I live up on a lake above Panama City, Fl. This year we are 200% above all of last year's rain totals and still have four more months of possibilities....given that we just peaked at the tip of the hurricane season, I suspect by November when it supposedly ends, we will be closer to 300% over. This morning, for example, it rained 2.7 inches in less than an hour and a half. Hurricane Ida, though 300 miles west is still sending bands of water laden clouds over us....arrrggghhh. I just want to be dry for a day or two.
