Close ups of small waterfalls with added image
« on: August 05, 2021, 03:24:42 pm »

I visited Glen Bruar during a short holiday in Perthshire last week. Very low water levels made the larger waterfalls particularly unspectacular but the reduced waterflow showed details in the smaller falls that is usually masked. Both taken with a 100-400mm lens 7720 @ 166mm and 7726 @ 400mm. Ken

The first has the light. Indeed even with low water flow,... the mood is captured.

wonderfully intimate waterfall scenes.  the light and color was captured nicely, without any color cast on the water.  beautiful images.

"Ethereal" came immediately to mind when I first viewed your photos; beautifully done.

Both are excellent! The combo of light and postprocessing works great.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Nokk I often take my white balance from the white parts of the waterfall thus making the white parts of the water completely neutral. Ken

Stunning.

Not much more I can say Ken, other than well seen, beautifully composed and delicately processed.

Thanks yet again. I have found a similar image from 2015 with higher water flow and a subsequent faster shutter speed, same log though. Ken

That's my favorite of the three so far.
Nice!
