I actually have an older Mac, but was not able to get a copy of the Printer Utility from HP that would still create profiles when I last tried, about a year ago. I was not able to profile with the last version of Printer Utility, before they changed the name to HP Designjet Utility. I think I need a version that is at least a couple of years old. I foolishly did not archive my old copies at the time.

Yea, you have to use an older Mac and vintage software.

If you don’t have one, and it’s important, an older MacBook Pro from eBay would work.

Thanks. Do you have an idea of how far back I need to go with OS X?

What version of OS X are you running?

I'm running Mojave on the laptop that I have tried to get to work for profiling.

The drivers go back to MacOS 10.4 on the HP site.  Just click the ‘Choose a different OS’ button

Can anyone confirm a Mac OS X version that still works properly with profiling the Z3200?

I use Mojave 10.14.2 from 12-06-2016. It's not the OS that is at issue, it's the HP Utility.

Any earlier Utility will work fine and will do profiling.

One that I have in my Archive is 82.8 MB, so not easy to transfer.

The utilities remained the same until HP combined them into one utility.

I run the older utility for the Z3200's and a newer one for the Z9+ Series.

Thanks Mark. Is there a way I can get the older utility from you? Or somewhere that I could download it?

Yes, Mark has it right. I can't seem to track down one of the older Printer Utilities. It has nothing to do with drivers.

Personally, I have a file upload page on my website that allows easy large file transfers, but it would be nice if someone could post a public link, since I know others are in the same boat and unable to profile (I'd gladly pay for the privilege ;)).

The new utility seems to fail due to looking in the wrong place for color lookup tables, so it would probably be a simple fix for HP, but they don't have even the slightest interest in solving this type of problem, since it doesn't sell more ink or printers (in that hierarchical order of importance to them).
