Exactly my thought. "Lamp over the Atlantic Ocean" is also in the same league although the sense of loneliness or isolation is not that intense.

Paulo, Bob, Francois, and Eric - thanks muchos, gentlemen.

This was a couple of days after the summer solstice. During the entire span from moonrise to moonset, the moon rose no more than 1.2º over the horizon. It was also a stroke of luck given the capricious weather of Iceland - presence of low clouds would have obscured the scene.
