Phase One IQ4 Remote Launches via Cascable App

After many, many months, there is a Remote App for controlling your Phase One IQ4 150. There are some positives to it, and yes, some negatives. Our own Brad Kaye has written a relatively concise examination of what to expect.

Very importantly, we have only just determined that automatic raw file transfer - which we felt was a big workflow detriment in most cases - can yes, be disabled, but not through the Cascable app, it must be disabled on the IQ4 digital back.

Go to Storage Setup > Advanced Setup (make sure Storage Mode is set to Advanced) > Host Storage > Disable.

Please note that Cascable has already released version 6.0.1, which adds support for 3rd party technical cameras (Alpa, Cambo, Arca-Swiss). Previously, in version 6.0, if a Phase One XF or XT camera was not detected, one would not be able to change the shutter speed for the Electronic Shutter of the IQ4. This is now addressed in version 6.0.1.
