That's a beautiful photo. Is there something special about the lens you are showing or just its general excellence?

General excellence, and very long focus throw, something like 320 degrees or so.

Colchicum alpinum DC. (RR, very rare) with the Elmarit 100 apo macro at F/2,8, Valtellina.

Colchicum autumnale L. with the same lens at F/2,8, Valtellina.

Pulsatilla vernalis (L.) Mill. with the same lens (stack), I don't remember the aperture, but quite open. On the background the Dosso Sabbione, Western Valgrosina, Valtellina.

Thanks Pieter, I know very well that the Dutch love mountains in photography and in reality, soft and hard ;). I see many of them in Valtellina roaming all year round, in every season, on every road, even on the loneliest and most unknown small local roads, unknown to everyone, but not to them.  ;D

I just came back from the Alps. I walked 14 days with my grilfriend and did 7000 m up and down. I need to go there every year. Like to camp in the wild and eat at the refuges.
Above 2000m there is still a sense of true nature with flowers and animals everywhere. I have almost no plants at home but like them very much there. The smallest flowers are the most beautiful.
