Has anyone experienced Photoshop CC (latest and current version) displaying colours less saturated than other CMS applications?

The issue is that I achieve a beautiful colour balanced image on a fully calibrated monitor that claims 99% AdobeRGB.  This is also re-calibrated every month or so.  However when I display that same image externally the colours appear more saturated than within Photoshop.  Also reds seem undersaturated?

I have re-installed and checked my colour management settings within Photoshop and even compared to those of others on the internet and this seems 'normal'.  It is very disconcerting  and probably started last year but not at any point I can pin down?  I would go to Adobe but I find their yes-men unhelpful but feel here there are more experts that are proven.

Anyone else experienced and fixed this?

Since any other application using CMS will be using the same profile I am flummoxed by why they display different.  Most if not all agree with Photoshop being different which sort of points the finger at Photoshop?

No.

Externally in what application? At the same zoom ratio? Are you making V4 version display profiles? Don't; use V2.

Hello,
Yes have always created V2 rather than V4.   Other apps are Capture one, DXO labs 4,  Affinity Photo,  Luminar v3 (not 4),  On1 v10, NX Studio for a start.

I have however abandoned iprofiler tonight and re-profiled via DisplayCal which seems much better and consistent in all?  This makes no sense to me at all but Photoshop has been declining since many of the 'greats' have passed and behaves oddly now and then needing resetting or re-installing.    Particular the heal tool which seems to have a mind of its own?

Anyway, I held back from asking about this as I did think myself it made no sense and likely (correctly) I would be cross-examined on who, what, when and where lol.

Looks like issue is fixed by DisplayCal so thanks anyway.

I haven't seen any change and I'm quite picky. From time to time I measure known display colors for verification.

Thanks Doug and this seems to have resolved itself though I know not why?  I did however remove the iprofiler software and re-profile with DisplayCal which immediately produced a (to the eye) more pleasing profile.  Images edited in Photoshop CC during the 'saturated' period definitely now displayed as over-saturated and looked as in 'other' colour managed editors.  Correction was easy as it did appear to be mainly too much saturation and liitle else?

All very odd?

Thanks for your response though and confirmation.

The issue must therefore have been that free (i1Profiler is the name) software from X-Rite.  ;)

The iprofiler software is not free.

While you can freely download it in order to retain functionality it requires registration and uses the serial number of the device against that registration.

However if it is free it would allow use of other profiling devices not from Xrite with appropriate drivers of course.  At some point I will try is with my Spyder4 and even older Gretag Macbeth devices.  However too busy at the moment

It is free. You can freely download it. You need a supported instrument to do anything so no, your POS Spyder will not work.
I don’t know if you are purposely trying not to understand this, or if you are really struggling with it.

Wrong, no registration required or requirement for serial numbers.

Correct, registration is completely optional. As anyone with the product like me, can see and shown below.
No serial number. A dongle for me, yes! One that unlocks all functionally (or not so much for others).
OR a 'dongle' inside an instrument. In which case, much of the functionality may not be accessible with this free to download, free to launch but not free to fully use with instruments software.
EDIT: Oh, and without a dongle, or registration, or (well there is no serial number), look what else you can actually do for free (2nd screen capture). Whoever this IPDOUGLAS is, he's digging his hole of ignorance deeper as the days go on.  :'(
