Flying Scotsman
« on: May 25, 2021, 05:25:49 am »

The Flying Scotsman steam engine pulled a special passenger train past us twice the other day, on rural circuits from London, once at lunchtime and the other in the evening.  This happens infrequently and causes a flurry of interest with train enthusiasts and grandparents with grandchildren.  The head-on image is of the train coming up an incline at about 40mph and the other going through our local station, probably at about 60mph as it was going downhill before going up another incline.

A fine bit of history there, nicely presented.

This train is always popular… I like both shots but my preferred is #2!
Well done.
