Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which has the responsibility for extensive research on illnesses caused by infection and by problems with the body’s immune system. In the medical world, he has made monumental scientific contributions to the world.
He has made a number of key scientific observations that contribute to the current understanding of the human immune response, and is recognized for delineating the ways immunosuppressive agents adapt to the human immune response. Among his many breakthroughs, Fauci has developed therapies for many formerly fatal diseases.
