Canon pro 4100 - Vacation

I’m leaving for 9 days and was wondering how my printer would hold up. I always leave it on, and know that it will do cleanings from time to time, but that’s only when I am trying to print something.

Should I leave a cut sheet loaded and print something remotely half way through the trip?

Will it take care of itself while it’s in sleep?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

It will turn itself on automatically and monitor the nozzles and agitate the inks. That’s the great thing about Canons. However, if you happen to have a lightning induced power surge, that can blow the main board, even with a surge protector. I learned that the hard way. So mine was left on all the time unless there is a thunderstorm, or I’m out of town, then I unplug everything. I’ve never had any head issues by going out of town for a couple of week with the Canon unplugged. My experience.
