but to tell you the truth,.. back then when my dear friend and I commenced upon a leisurely hike up towards the Plain-of-Six-Glaciers,... little did we/ me, ... more specifically, I imagine what lay ahead beyond the "cross-point" of the "Plain-of-Six" glaciers!
My dear friend, said to me, lets go to the edge,.. ( but the girls expect us back by 2 pm?). .... well you can guess next our move.,,,,

Yes,.. in quiet contemplation ,... below and to the left , we saw it. The so called "Death Trap".
In our mid-summer visitation,... the path under the Victoria Glacier (one of six ) seemed innocent enough,...
but well below us was the tail of glacier itself,... and with binoculars to the eye ,... what wonders of green/emerald ice from above did we see.
Yes we sat there under an "ice-shelf" from above" (I realized that afterwards ),.... its okay,... we ended up safe and sound,...
Dare I say, "with the very most respect", that a some mountaineers,... (though my friend and I are not)... not so blessed, and met their fate at the scene bellow us., Some day after COVID relents, I'll need to go back!
