Photoshop Brightens Monitor
« on: March 09, 2021, 01:12:45 am »

For some strange reason, Photoshop 2021 has begun to behave differently. As soon as I click on the Photoshop icon under Windows 10, the monitor brighten considerably. Once I leave Photoshop. the monitor returns back to the setting from my monitor calibration.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to the reason for this behavior? Next question, is there a proposed solution?

Cheers,

Mitch

First, try disabling GPU in the preferences (Preformance). Any better?
If not, recalibrate and build a new ICC profile, the old one might be corrupted.
If you are using software/hardware for this task, be sure the software is set to build a matrix not LUT profile, Version 2 not Version 4 profile.
