Lightroom Classic 10 Upgrade Issue
« on: February 14, 2021, 02:12:21 pm »

Hi all, would very much like to upgrade my current LR Classic to the new version 10 that adds color control wheels. Concerned about bugs and other issues, I upgraded on a computer that has a small catalog with about 100 photos. As expected, the catalog was updated and renamed. But all my photos are gone ('file cannot be found"). I went into preferences and selected the new catalog, closed and re-opened LR, and no difference. “Locate missing folder” did not work either. Can anyone explain why this happened or how to fix it? The problem happened on a 2107 iMac. My main catalog is on a 2019 Mac Pro, I will not update LR on that computer until I can be sure this issue will not recur.
Thanks,

Len

This happens to me occasionally. For whatever reason, LR loses the path to the catalog and images. I keep most images on separate external drives an NAS drives. Click the "missing" icon in the corner and navigate to the folder where you know the images reside. This should fix the issue.
