Softest slipsheet for ultra glossy photo paper
« on: January 27, 2021, 11:05:43 pm »

I'm going to be printing on a extremely glossy photo paper with the P9000 (Ultrachrome HDX inks)
I've increased the ink output to get richer more vivid results, yet the additional ink will increase the drying time.   To combat this, I'm utilizing the dry
winter air (very low humidity) to help speed up the drying. I'm hanging the prints vertically to avoid dust.

However, once the edition is complete, any ideas on very soft delicate slipsheet/interleaving?
A forum search showed the Mark at Aardenburg likes Uline's PE foam, but this was for matte fine art papers.

Do you think will work on the ultra glossy inkjet surface?  (Think Cibachrome, or Canson Photo High Gloss Premium.)

I've used Remay, Hollytex, and Acid-Free Buffered Tissue Paper.  I don't know what the softest slipsheet would be... I do not want any micro abrasions.
The slipsheet is temporary, until it gets delivered to the laminator.

My current thinking is Hollytex would offer the most abrasion free choice, but I'm not 100% certain.
Open to all thoughts and suggestions.

many thanks
