Strobe lighting for copy work

We are currently using a Norman P2000D power supply for our strobe lighting system in our copy studio. We're looking to update and upgrade the whole lighting system. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions in a similar situation? Because we use polarizing filters to eliminate refection, a high power system is needed. Its been so many years since we have looked into lighting, we don't know where to start. Any words of wisdom?

You are in luck since high power strobes are not much in demand these days and can be had at bargain prices used. Years ago I shot artwork on 8x10 with polarizers ( light source and lens ) and used two Speedotron 4800 WS packs. These things go forever and I am sure pretty reasonable these days. They weigh 43 lbs each, and although I did use them on location for industrial shoots in my younger days, they are certainly much more suited to a studio environment.
