Thank you for your comments, gentlemen!
Paulo, it is interesting that you live on the west coast of Iberia and watch the sun set in the west and I live on the east slope of Mingus Mtn and watch the sun rise. Can't see the sunset, but I agree, these colors would be beautiful either way.
Rajan, thank you, hope the attached fulfills your wish! Still cannot figure out how to incorporate an image in the main text.
Slobodan, my friend and teacher, high praise. Thank you!

Francois, thank you. I'm sure you don't remember, but you were the first person to commend my very first post here on LuLa several years ago. Thank you for the encouragement to continue!

You're welcome, David. My memory might not be at 100% but I remember having made a comment a long time ago, when you started posting here  :D

Yes. I was sort of hoping for four feet on the short side.    ;)

Eric, thanks, I have the canvas to go to 24x48, but not 48x96 :( It might be worth it. It seems that the reds in such images often get saturated. Lately, I have been very careful to squeeze as much exposure out as I can without crossing the threshold. Simply, manual ETTR. I'll do a series and then check the images in FastRawViewer and RawDigger. As many have pointed out and taught here on the forum, LR also does a nice job of rounding off the highlights. I think this combo worked well with this image given the high dynamic range. Thank goodness "film" is cheap ;)

I will remember this image for
a long time.

Spectacular!
Sunrises have usually more contrast, since the air is still cold and less humid.
Reminds me of some sunrises i have seen in the Sahara.
