In Tenerife

The remains of the day by Mount Teide in Tenerife (Canary Islands). The summit is about 12,000 ft, and even a bit lower down the air is very clear but also very cold! High desert and moonscape up there. I made this image nearly a year ago now. But for Covid, we’d be heading back there.

Thanks, Eric and francois. I tend to prefer images that step slightly away from realistic so in this one I added a cinematic colour palette trending towards yellow and a vignette.

If you live in Europe it’s a great place for a burst of sunshine and warmth in winter. We’ll be back for sure. Another good place in that part of the world is Madeira which (imho) is also a super place to photograph.
