Apple was having a few issues yesterday so I didn't update till late last night. This morning, I opened C1v12 and it loaded a session normally. I haven't tethered a camera yet but will do so this weekend to make sure it's good for a job. I will probably upgrade to C1v21 when it's released so perhaps someone can tell us how Big Sur works with C1v20.

On a 2019 Mac Pro, for me, Big Sur is a lot more stable than Catalina. I don't have the wake up issues or minor shifting of lines from graphic driver issues that plagued me with Catalina. C1P works fine in Big Sur.

Well that is good to hear; insane that you had problems like that in the first place after buying this $$$ computer from Apple.

I've been running the Big Sur public beta since it first became available. I have had no issues with Capture One Pro 20 and the v21 beta. No problems at all.

Now that Big Sur is updated to the release version, all is still good.

That would be great news. Catalina has been a nightmare for me on the Mac Pro 2019 with numerous crashes on wake from sleep and disconnections from my TB3 Promise arrays. That’s on top of major performance issues with C1 after migration that forced me to do a clean install that cost me 2 full days. Far mire than the performance gains I’ll ever get from the machine.

Probably the worst experience with a computer ever for me. A computer that is also by far the most expensive I ever bought.

Apple support key advise was... not to use the sleep function but to shut down my computer instead... yeah... right.

Cheers,
Bernard
