Likely not. But the sincerity of former cult members and their return to reality is always a judgment call. I think that there probably are former members of the Trump cult that have returned—or at least are on the path of returning—to reality.

Thanks for the support but you missed that these people have caught another virus going around for those on the left.  It's the cancel culture of silencing those whose speech and views they disagree with.  It's anti-democratic in nature and Fascist in spirit.  Their motto is "off with your head" if your beliefs aren't theirs. Micahel Cohen wouldn't be taken seriously by a jury because he lied so much before.  Didn;t he go to jail for lying to Congress and financial crimes?

Alan, that is not my point.  I am sure he would not, not to mention client attorney privilege would prevent it anyway.  Although if you are not paid, does client attorney privilege still apply?  I dont know, just like everything else, Andrew.   

The point I am making is that Rudy be-clowned himself several times over in the last four years.  It was more then likely Trump's insistence on constantly requiring public affirmation of loyalty by his employees, but none the less, you have to know when to push back and when to not care what your boss thinks and when to leave.

Bill Barr know all these things, which is why I still have a great deal of respect for him.  But Rudy? 


PS, recently a story came out about a meeting Trump had with Barr earlier in December in which Barr told Trump he was being sold a bunch of bull shit.  So while Rudy was telling Trump what he wanted to hear, Barr told him, “I’m a pretty informed legal observer and I can’t fucking figure out what the theory is here, ... It’s just scattershot. It’s all over the hill and gone.”

As much as I liked Trump's policies, I blame him for the losses in GA.  He fought the battle he could not win instead of the battle he would have won if he fought it.  Rudy holds blame here for filling his head with nonsense.

You see leftists rioting to silence conservative speakers on campus.   It's supported by the same people who complained for decades about McCarthyism.

Accusing people of lying is the new tactic today.  You can't have even opinions that are contrary to theirs. You even see the ACLU winking at it; something they would never do in the past. It's very dangerous and will cause people on the right to take up similar tactics just to defend themselves. The whole thing is un-American.   It's all very unfortunate.

Rudy has been sued by Dominion Systems for $1.3 billion and by Smartmatic for $2.7 billion. The SDNY is investigating him for money laundering and probably related crimes. He, along with Trump, the Proud Boys, and the Oath Keepers, just got sued today by the NAACP and a congressman for conspiracy to cause the Capitol riot. I'd say he has his hands full.

This is the victim culture that's embedded itself on the right, and Tech mentioned...  The base on the right has wholly embraced Trump, and to a lesser extent, QAnon.  They deserve to be called liars 10x over and deplatformed wherever possible. They're the flat-earthers of politics, made more dangerous because, unlike promoting lies about the circumference of the globe, stupid people vote for stupid things and then those stupid people make policy.
