Melbourne under lockdown
« on: October 20, 2020, 11:57:55 pm »

Royal Arcade, Melbourne, during lockdown. Illuminated by the late-afternoon sun streaming through the skylights, it would usually be thronged with shoppers, but currently stands empty.

Sony A7r3 with 24-70mm f/2.8 GM at 24mm, f/8, 1/30, ISO 100.

I like the shot a lot. Strange times, sometimes to the advantage of photographers…

My middle daughter lives in central Melbourne. I've sent it to her.

Great shot with great lighting. Yes, it is not usual to see that place without people

Normally the walls are off-white - only slightly yellowish. When yellow late afternoon light hits it through the roof, though, it lights up.
