Gentle Sky(e) with new image
«

have just returned from a pleasant week in the North of Scotland spoiled a little by the closed pubs and a lot by a close encounter between my car and a stag. This image of Skye from the Bealach na Ba on the mainland. Soon after this shot the clouds rolled in and changed the soft light into boring light. As the clouds rolled in I was treated to about 20 minutes of strong sunshine on the waters of the Inner Sound with Raasay in the foreground nd the Trotternish peninsula of Skye behind. The scene was almost monochrome so I converted it. Ken

I enjoy this shot a lot. There's nothing intense or stunning here, just a beautiful vista and enough clouds to make is relaxing.
Bravo, Ken!

I love the second one, Ken. I might get rid of that small splodge of white at the top of the left central peak.
How are you? How's your car? How's the stag?

Thanks for spotting that Jeremy. We are both fine although it was a little shocking one second driving across the moors the next a flash in your peripheral vision then a deer's head and antlers hitting the driver's side window with a bang. By the time that I could stop safely the deer was way behind me. The car has a few creases in the body work and the indicator in the driver's mirror was ripped off but the mirror operates. We were lucky I had a colleague who hit a deer straight on and he wrote the car off with the deer coming through the windscreen and he was unable to work for 6 months. Ken

Glad you're OK. You haven't said how the deer is, though. Are you still in touch? Does he write?

Maybe you should write first. Start like this maybe: "Dear Deer ..."
