Thanks for the Justin Kelly website and article on vanishing desert areas - I can definitely attest to that here in the Coachella Valley. I've been living here over 35 years, photographing it for 10. Light pollution has become more of a factor in recent years, and the Salton Sea is morphing steadily - not in a good way. BUT: there are dozens of spectacular sites to visit in the vicinity, from low desert sand dunes to 11,000ft. I invite anyone to come down and have a look around.
