The image itself is arresting, but the image plus title makes me ask for the story/explanation.

The title refers to the badger cull here in the UK.

The cull sounds as if the UK government is picking up a few (nasty) tips from the U.S. government.

My aim was to produce a rather haunting, ghostlike image, the antithesis of the magnificent creature it was when alive.

The skull was lent to me by a friend who found it while marking out a piece of land for his land management degree dissertation.

Powerful image.

It's a powerful image. The badger cull has very strong proponents as well as antagonists. It's not being done for fun.
