Can anyone identify this accessory and where to get one?
« on: September 30, 2020, 07:05:08 pm »

Hey all,

The first photo is the piece I'm looking for. The silver adapter.

The second photo is the tripod I'm trying to attach this piece to.

Basically I need the piece to have a female thread on the bottom, so I can attach it to the quick release on my tripod. The male thread on the top is not needed, but won't hinder anything. I just do not know what it is called or what to look for.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Not absolutely sure, but to me that looks like a spigot

You are looking for a 5/8" spigot with a 1/4 x 20 female thread end. The female end is what will screw onto the tripod head. If you need the 1/4 x 20 male thread on the other end, that is available too. Stores like B&H, Adorama, etc that sell lighting equipment will carry this.

You are the best! Thank you!

So this would do the trick then?
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1305583-REG

Its 5/8 and the height is 1.25, same as the one in my previous photo.

If you don't need the male thread on one end, your pick will work. The 1/4 x 20 female end will screw onto the tripod screw.
