The window people of Wurzburg
« on: September 27, 2020, 01:41:18 am »

Back in 1985 I was part of a college trip to Europe on the way to an archaeological dig in Jerusalem. These photos were taken in Wurzburg, Germany.

It appears I took these “human studies” from a hotel window as I watched the locals going about their business. And one of them was watching me!

Photos attached include the original or similar frames as well as some artsy post-processing.

If anybody knows the guy with the camera, I'd love to see the photo of me he took ;-)

The neighborhood is shown in the colorized street scene.

Drop the "artsy" processing and tight crops. The full-size image of the old lady explains what otherwise looks like a stain/crack on the facade and makes a good street photography.

Thanks Slobodan. I seemed to have been intrigued by this... We discovered European cities shut down at 5 or 6pm so I guess I was bored!

I also colorized one of the Camera Man photos.

Apologies to Austria! This was actually taken from the Hotel Strauss in Wurzburg Germany! You can see the days (sample attached) were just a blur...

You can see the pigeon house at right and rooftop windows at left.

A quick pic of the original contact sheet.
