Tiger in the grass

Tiger flowers also called Mexican Shell Flowers (Tigridia pavonia) are pretty garden treasures that bloom in mid- to late summer. Their blooms are ephemeral lasting at most a day, but often more like a few hours. I was fortunate to capture this beauty a day ago and hope you enjoy it.
