Alan,
I belong to a photo club (greater Vancouver area, British Columbia) that has used Zoom since the beginning of the virus. We have also started using Visual Pursuits (a program that allows the submission/management/display of images as well as the ability to hold image evaluations).
Currently, we meet every Wednesday evening and either host a presentation by a club member or outside source on a technique/theme etc, which can be image-capture related and/or image-processing with various (usually PS) programs.
Due to the virus limitations we now have some nights where the members have previously been provided a group of jpeg images (from the net that relate to a theme) and the submitters will use their processing skills to composite and process the images. These are judged by either a qualified member or outside evaluator. Usually, for the top one or two images, the maker(s) will be asked to give a short description on the thought process and processing techniques used.
Other nights, a theme is designated and within the preceeding month, the members must take a photo that fulfills the theme, and the images must be taken within that month and be from inside the home or yard (last theme was still life, I believe).
Of note, our membership is around 150, and usually the in-person meetings were around 80 (depending on the activities for that evening), while since Zoom arrived the attendance has dropped considerably, with some nights well less than 40.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions and I will endeavour to answer.
Marv
