Well produced piece, and exquisite work by Michele.  I am interested in more information on the aviation weather site she mentions.  I also intend to give a look to the Medium Blue app.

Thanks Ralph, I do hope people realize how high quality and artful Nick’s documentaries are, and Michel’s  work is deserving of such. App looks cool, yeah.

More to come !

Nick was credited with the score.  Did he really compose and/or perform the music?  It was very good.

Ralph,

One of the weather apps she mentioned was METEOBLUE

I love to range up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway from VA to the Great Smoky Mountain Park.   I live in NC so its just a 2 hour drive to jump on the BRP.  I have a LOT of photos of the Blue Ridge taken over the last few decades.

With luck some of the US Federal $ that have been recently released will help the massive backlog of maintenance needed for our national parks.  The BRP (a national park) is in serious need of maintenance. The funds released aren't near enough after decades of neglect though.

I really enjoyed "Appalachian Dreams".  She captured a lot of the charm of the Blue Ridge.  A fine job with the video.

Nice documentary, photographs, score, and video work.  She's a very warm and introspective person and it shows in her photos and what she has to say.

Hear Hear!! I really enjoyed the article and the video, she has some great images in there! The shot of the people  lining up for admission to  Cade's Cove reminded me of one of Michael's Video Journal DVD's.

Couldn't agree more. I really enjoyed this low-key "artistic" docu-video. A good balance between the music, the authors work and style, and love of place. Michel's work is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Michel has discovered how expressive ICM can be. Bravo on all counts.

Yes! This, and her being one of our past grant recipients was one of the reasons Nick wanted to profile her.
