Epson 9900 filter fail
« on: July 13, 2020, 01:52:21 pm »

Well I have the dreaded failed filter again and this time I cannot seem to get rid of it.
Filter Fail pops uo in the printer utility when I send the print to the printer.
All 3 computers have the same response. 2019 5k iMac, 2020 16" MacBook Pro (Both with 10.15.5) and my 2009 Mac Pro with old 11.6.
Deleted all the printers and reloaded the drivers 3 times and still cannot get it to reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

My only suggestion would be to unplug the printer from the outlet for about 30 seconds, plug it back in and then reinstall the drivers. I was once told that this would clear out the capacitors on the computer boards within the printer.

Fixed it after 4 hours of trial and error. Epson had a good tutorial that walked me through it.
