DNG files cropped in-camera - can I get the full view back?

Some cameras allow in-camera crops on the RAW DNG files - e.g. Ricoh GR III can let you crop from the 28mm focal length to 35mm equivalent. This crops both the JPG and the DNG. The DNG does this crop with metadata so, in theory, the full uncrossed image is actually stored in the DNG.

Lightroom would show the DNG as cropped by default but also has a plugin 'DNG Recover edges' that would allow you to see the full uncropped image.

Is such a thing possible in C1 20?

What happens when you go into crop mode with CO?  Does it then show the entire image or just the cropped part?

Apps such as DNG Cleaner (on the Apple App Store or the Microsoft Store) can remove cropping that's in DNG metadata.
