Epson R3000 print issue (attached image)
« on: July 11, 2020, 06:01:59 am »

I'm writing this in order to try to help a family friend who is using an Epson R3000 printer. The printer was given away by my father with a full set of Epson ink. The printer was used without issue, however, the inks were eventually replaced with third party inks, consequently we cannot really ask Epson for advice. I wondered if some folks could take a look at the image and offer advice. Perhaps this has nothing to do with inks whatsoever. I attach the original digital file and a scan of the problem print.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Please check if black (PK/MK) channel works. Have you made nozzle check print?

Thanks Unesco,

Sorry for the late reply, I had to contact the person who has the printer. They have just done a check on all of the 9 inks and it appears the two that don't work are the Blacks PK + MK. So I guess it's probably that these two colours are somehow faulty. I'll pass this message on.

Many thanks
