Looking at the PRO-300
« on: July 09, 2020, 08:22:09 am »

I've had a printer here for a bit for testing and have just published a longish review if anyone's curious.

http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/canon-pro-300-printer-review/

Biggest PRO-10 changes:

It's fixed margin/borderless problems of the PRO-10 for all media
Page length now up to 39"
A colour screen on the front
A bit smaller/lighter
Looks like a smaller version of the PRO-1000
The new Canon print software is rather nice to use

I've still got it here, so if anyone has any questions, just let me know here or email...

I live in Leicester in the UK, so have to thank Canon UK for giving me lots of stuff to do whilst our lockdown was extended!

Is the Canon Pro-300 equivalent to the Epson P700, or should I wait for Canon to replace their Pro-1 ?

You may have a long wait for a PRO-1 replacement - I suspect Canon would steer you to the PRO-1000

The PRO-300 is much more like the P700, but I've no direct comparison yet...

This afternoon I've been told, that a P700 should be arriving here next week, so another review will follow in a few weeks :-)

Actually just what I need to keep me busy, since I'm in Leicester in the UK and we're not supposed to go out at the moment :-(

Thanks - Epson (UK) said they'd send one when they had some available...
