HP Z3200ps Paper/Quality Options Missing

I'm reaching out in hopes that you might be able to help me figure out a relatively recent change I've had when printing from Photoshop. I am running three 44" z3200ps Photo printers on a Mac running OS 10.15.5 using the most recent version of Photoshop.

In the past after I hit print in PS, click print settings, and select Paper/Quality in the drop down menu it would allow me to choose options like quality level: best, enable more passes, and maximum detail. Now those options are gone and replaced simply by a slider that has only two options, speed (slide to the left) or quality (slide to the right). I have updated the drivers, Photoshop (and tested it in both 2019 and 2020 with the same results), the OS, and even uninstalled the drivers and re-installed them. I've also removed the printers and added them back. Still, those options (quality level, enable more passes, maximum detail) are no longer available, they're completely missing. I'm attaching a screenshot for reference.

Any ideas how to get those back?

I am on the latest PS version on Mojave on a z3100 - i have no problems...

Maybe it is Catalina- or did it work earlier on on Catalina?

It may have happened going from 10.15.4 to 10.15.5 but it was working before then. I had some computer issues and in handling it with Apple was required to update.

Maybe you can try to go back with Time Machine...?

Unfortunately I don't have a TM backup to go back to. Another detail to add. I keep getting "The software for the printer was installed incorrectly" popping up. I click "repair" and it goes away but then comes back next time I print. I did some digging on this previously and found a lot of people this was happening to. As I saw repeatedly suggested I reset the printing system in System Preferences and added the printers and drivers back in but keep getting the same issue.

You can make an other user on catalina with permission to handle your machine  ; say 'Test'
then login as Test and see if that solves anything.

If it is solved; there is something wrong in the original user map; probably prefererences... i don't know...

about the software being installed incorrectly- i had that message to in an older system;but did not have any problem whatsoever...

OK i would install a clean system on a different harddisk- start up from it and see if that solves anything...
Install the Catalina version that did work... or go back to Mojave ; if that is not a problem...

At this time i also have some problem with a piece of software... Makes me remember:  stay where you are if everything works!... and leave the updates for the ipads/  less important  computers...

With 'Big Sur' coming up it will almost certainly give 'Big Problems' ...

Just got off the phone with a senior tech with Apple. He claimed he could see numerous reports of similar issues and that he thought it was something that would be addressed in a future Catalina update, just couldn't say when.

Then even about a year after they launched Catalina there is no version that you can call a finished OS - and the next system is already coming up... Apple!

Well, after doing some more digging I was able to go into System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, then click on the printer, then click Options & Supplies, then check the box for Use Generic Printer Features. Now when I go to print from Photoshop all of those options are again available.
