I've been playing around with Lightroom's new local adjustment tool for
hue. Very interesting―and the implementation is sensible and quite intuitive. I especially appreciate the
Use Fine Adjustment capability for mediating the effect of the slider; I can imagine this approach being ported to other LR adjustments.
I don't see myself using this tool very often, but I imagine it will be very helpful in resolving some specific issues I sometimes encounter, such as adjusting parts of an image for ambient lighting with different color temperatures, as often occurs during outdoor nighttime shots.
