LR "Preparing Print Job" Screwed Up - Mac

Used LR since Version 1.  Over the past 2-3 days, LR printing process has degraded tremendously.  I just printed an image through LR that had very few adjustments made to it in LR.   It just took 11 minutes for "Preparing Print Job", the Epson Print status icon in the Dock wouldn't open to show the print que, and then it printed the wrong file - one I printed a couple hours ago.   

In Photoshop, the same file is processed and prints normally, starting in about 10 seconds. And the Epson status icon opens during printing and shows the print que.

Mac Mini, 2012. OS High Sierra 10.13.6; 16Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD with System and applications (½ full), 2 Tb internal HD with photo files (½ full). Printing using Epson P800 Series (ip) driver;  LR Classic CC 9.2.1;  Wifi connected printer - Epson P800.  Photoshop 21.1.3.

Any ideas?

I never had good luck with my P800 and Wi-Fi.  Only reliable with USB for me.

Ron,
I understand your point, but I've used wifi for several years with no problem and it still prints properly with Photoshop and other applications. Very puzzling.

And this morning, when I select an image in either Library or Develop modules, and then click on the Print Module, the last printed image opens in the Print Module, not the selected image.  Grrrrrrr!

Just one suggestion:
Make sure that in the View menu of the print module you have choose "Show Toolbar"(you should see "Hide Toolbar)
and then make sure that in the Toolbar you have selected "selected photos".

Thank you so much.  Your suggestion solved the problem.    Apparently I had done something where I had changed LR's print module's "Use" choice in the Toolbar underneath the image from "selected photos" to "All Filmstrip Photos", and this inadvertent change had caused all the weird behavior.
