To experience clouds in Death Valley is a happy stroke of luck. Given that the mine has been closed to visitors for years, I guess you took these awhile back.

Eric, Chuck, Rajan: thanks!

We were lucky to be able to spend several nights in DV until the virus closed the campgrounds and chased us home to Canada. This allowed us to catch some interesting clouds.

The mine is open, at least up to the bottom tram terminal.

The distant dust is blowing up from the Stovepipe Wells dunes.

Perfect light for this arid place. The first one could have been taken on another planet… I like the remnants of the mining activities (photo #2). They remind us that people endured this hostile (and beautiful) nature for their living or their dreams.
