P800 not printing correctly

I have an Epson P800 printer. I’m having a problem printing custom sized images on 13 X 19 or 17 X 22 inch paper. The printer insists on printing portrait images whether rotated or not. Lightroom or Photoshop. The print image in Lightroom shows it as rotated properly 90 degrees but doesn’t print that way. No matter what the settings  I get  print showing about 25% of the image , in one corner of the paper, in the wrong portrait angle. It happens with different images and papers. I’ve set the specs for borders or centred withe short side of the paper leading into the printer.

Driving me nuts! Any ideas? Thanks.

Screen shots of your Lightroom Print Module settings would be very helpful.

Looks like it could possibly be a setting issue.

Welcome to Epson printing. You have discovered an undocumented feature.
I had the same problem with the 3880 and now have the P800.
 
At a guess I would say the problem is setting a width greater than the platter width of 17"
(If you set it to 432mm it fails on the 3880 also because 17" is 431.8mm.)

So the "width" can never be more than 17" even if the image width is. Try reversing the two sizes.

Better still abandon printing from an editing programme and instead get a print programme.
What you see is what you get then.
That has saved me a fortune in ink and paper over the years.

Are you also making sure the printer driver (computer end) is set up properly with the sizing you want?  If the image is set differently in the printer driver than the software, that can cause confusion all around as your telling the printer to read this way and the software is showing it that way.

Maybe try Epson's Print Layout that is free from their site.

It's under the "Utilities" section, but is a fairly easy tool to use and should show you want you will be printing along with the necessary tools on adjusting the way it prints (not color editing like Photoshop or Lightroom).

Also, what OS are you using by chance?  If Mac, make sure you're note using AirPrint which will provide a tenth of what the full installation offers.  You can't print proper sizes or get all settings like the standard installation would.  This is because Apple created AirPrint for mobile device (iPad and iPhone) printing only which limits your options to print.  If this is what seems like you have (setting wise), you'll need to uninstall the printer driver and reinstall it, but make sure it's the full install selected.
