Beautifully done. I like the fern on the left side, it's definitely a plus.

Not convinced about that fern; it steals the show for me. Both colour and sharpness make it too dominant, though I'm happy to accept that maybe it was the subject.

Again, just for me, a perfect example of a shot designed to suit 6x6. Keep the frame as is, but remove the left side up to the inner edge of the foreground rocks. The waterfall can then become more dominant and the fern less so. Actually, if one were to include just a little of the end of the left-side rocks, it would give a nice kind of diagonal form running from low left allng the blocks of rock and upwards across the pic.

Neither do I subscribe to the theory of absolute sharpness, front to rear; we all have our delightful quirks.

Yes, you're right about the fern. For me, it is the main character of this image… I cannot read into Neil's mind anyway.
