Hasselblad XCD 35-75mm f/3.5-4.5 in-depth review
« on: April 25, 2020, 01:04:17 pm »

Ladies and gentlemen, I have put together a blog page with my in-depth review of the Hasselblad XCD 35-75mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom.

The page is here:

https://www.vieribottazzini.com/2020/04/hasselblad-xcd-35-75mm-f-3-5-4-5-in-depth-review.html

Hasselblad claimed it to be one of the best lenses they ever designed, and in short, the lens is amazing, sometimes even better than primes at equivalent focal lengths.

Looking forward to your thoughts and comments, best regards

Thanks. I had heard that it was mechanical focus but interesting that it is focus by wire. Does that mean that the Focus Bracketing feature works?

For me it’s always exciting to see these high performing zooms. I enjoy my SK 40-80BR but it’s a beast to haul around.

Hello Bob,

you are welcome. I don't know, sorry, I have only X1D II bodies with me and focus by wire will be implemented on the X1D II on a later firmware. However, Hasselblad mentioned that focus bracketing won't work only with the new 45/P, so it should theoretically work with any other lens, including the 35-75mm. Best regards,

You are very welcome, glad you enjoyed the read :) Yes, the 40-80mm is great but it's enormous and very heavy, not to mention the huge filters it requires (in case you'd want to use filters with it, of course). Best regards,
