Of course I do. From another expert in the subject. From what I have been reading, there is a large consensus on the procedures and mitigation measures from the areas of virology, immunology, and infectiology. What happens in several countries is that regional governments then decide to implement them, or not. Like in Spain, for example.
Why do you get a second opinion? Don't you trust the first expert's opinion?

the daily number of dead people wil remain the same or increase due to less testing of possible infected.
Already i see less new infections but the equal amount of deaths in the US statistics, although thats no proof.

Each of the 50 states provides their own statistics on deaths.  I get a daily email of the statistics of cases and deaths from my state of New Jersey.  While the CDC totals all the states,  the individual state statistics are publicly available for independent research and reporting.  So the federal government can't lie about summarizing without being caught.

More to the point, if you don't trust experts, why do you go to one with medical problems?  Why don't you just ask a politician who'll tell you what you want to hear?

That is not were it is about: it is about less possible infected people will be tested due to new federal guidelines.

Yep...until death statistics go through the White House.

Then "Everything will be fine".

As an aside I like how the Trump ads show how terrible things will be under Biden using clips from under Trump.

Experts changing their minds again.  Just when I figured out how far six feet is.

Six feet may not be enough to protect against coronavirus, experts warn

Actually, 6 ft should be in most cases a very safe distance. A recent report stated that even 3-4 ft distance is pretty safe, but of course 6-8 ft is even safer.
It depends also if the infector just breathes, talks, coughs or sneezes. A good sneeze will propel the droplets at the Autobahn speed, something like 240km/h.

The CDC states "at least six feet", which to me suggests that six feet is the minimum and more is better, particularly if the person next to you is coughing or sneezing.  Is all common sense out the window? Are people really that dense? Or is it that they can't read words on a page? Or perhaps psychological problems are involved? Do they find experts disagreeing under every rock? Perhaps some traumatic event? When they take their car in for routine service and the mechanic suggests changing the oil, do they get a second opinion? What about brake pads? What if the waiter recommends the catch of the day?

Because there is uncertainty. For example, I have seen several studies dealing with herd immunity safe levels - according to the models, it varies from 10% - 70%. Now, if I go to a doctor and I am diagnosed cancer, I get another opinion from other experts.

Are you really this dense? From the subtitle:

"Factors such as crowd density, ventilation, face masks and whether people are silent, speaking, shouting or singing should all be considered in assessing distance."

180.000 dead and he still takes the virus not serious. It may loose him some votes among this crowd.

I suspect their vote is not the most important thing they will lose :-)

I'll ignore your insult and chalk it up to misunderstanding English idioms.  Every newscaster, scientist, politician and media proclaim the 6 foot rule.  Every circle imprinted on queue lines are memorialized at 6 feet.  There isn't one person in 100 who use those qualifiers when calculating how far they should stay away from others. The thrust of the article is that they're pushing a new rule, that the experts have changed their minds again.

Not in the UK - here it is 2 metres.  That might explain why Covid is spreading faster in the US.  Six inches can make all the difference you know.......

British women seem more concerned with those statistics, for the most part.

Yes, and there are some measurements that seem forever destined to remain in imperial units.  Spacing for Social Distancing not being one of them.

Umm nope.  What it says is what was already well known - that the virus doesn't drop dead 6 feet from your mouth.  Now the public know to keep (about) 6 feet apart the guidance can become more nuanced.  No use for dimwits crammed nose to nose at the White House, but useful for sentient beings.

Please stop this pedantic trolling. The distance was always a continuum, as everyone well understands. Six feet was just a convenient rule of thumb that provided a reasonable safeguard. OBVIOUSLY it does not cover EVERY eventuality and no one ever said it did. Your deliberate insistence on calling out every obscure article you read as evidence that "experts" are wrong is very silly. You can't possibly think that anyone is taking you seriously about this anymore. Personally, it makes me laugh, so thanks for that.

But here's thing. You seem to need reassurance every other day or so. I can't give you any. Lots of advice is wrong. We're all doomed. Don't listen to anyone, they're just out to get your buck. There is no solution. There, feel better?

But I do have one question for you, which we've skirted around but I don't think we've addressed directly. What do YOU think went wrong with the US response to Covid?
