I'm surprised the Democrat mayor called for federal help from Trump.  However, does she really need it?  Where is the state government? The Illinois State Police?  Why don't they get off their asses and help?  Federal marshalls should stay out of local crime issues.  The Feds have too much power as it is.

In the end, cities that don't police right will wind up like Detroit.  Businesses and people leave.  The city falls into disrepair. Real estate values collapse. No one will spend their hard earn savings starting a business only to see it fail due to crime or be burned down in a riot.  So the cities hurt themselves for political reasons.  Good luck to them.  Not the country's problem.

Robert, you misunderstood my point.  It's "not the country's problem" because regular policing for crime is a local policing issue.  I wouldn't want police coming in from other states to New Jersey arresting and handling police matters in my community.  They're not from my community, may not be familiar with our procedures, they're ignorant of our ways and how we do things. They could be more abusive.  The only exception would be if there was an insurrection.  But even then, let each state's police forces help local city police forces in those situations, first.  Additionally, each governor has their own national guard made of of members of their state and community.   

On the other hand, if there was a need for outside help in the case of a hurricane or other natural disaster, helping other states is an American thing.

Here is today's story involving Walmart, guns, and masks. The incident occurred at a Palm Beach Walmart, which sounds like an oxymoron to me. Fortunately, no one actually got shot.

It's "not the country's (US's) problem"

It's certainly no other countries problem, except when our idiots see your idiots running around protesting and decide to do the same thing.
There is a court case in Sydney going on at the moment to allow or not a Black Lives Matter protest.
The police have simply said that if they can't arrest them for an illegal protest then they will arrest them for social distancing.
Hopefully the court will rule against the protestors and they can book them for both.

The US is about to pass France's deaths per million of 462. That was the country everyone said got is wrong.
France had 10 deaths yesterday, the US 1141.
So they may have got it wrong but they fixed it.

Unidentified HOW?  No name on the uniform?  Perfectly legal for Federal officers.  What the story really shows is that the Portland attorney who brought the case was a complete moron.  Kinda matches the screwballs protesting IMO.
