Psychiatrists fear 'tsunami' of mental illness after lockdown
My daughter's a therapist. Fortunately, the insurance companies are allowing therapy over the phone using Skype. She said she lost three of her patients. They didn't want phone therapy preferring person-to-person. But she's made up the difference plus in new cases. Meanwhile she's saving money on commuting costs to NYC, lunches out, business clothes, and just plain wear and tear.
I wonder how many people like her and even larger companies are going to switch their employees to working from home? That's going to have a huge effect on commercial real estate, construction, transportation, taxis, restaurants in business areas, etc.
It's going to be a different world.
