The combination of a dangerous leader as Trump feeding his audience with hateful messages in a time with a very bad economy is not a very nice combination indeed.
Certainly not in a country with more weapons than people
Then when you see its enormous military strength it is clear the whole world has a problem.

LOL, so your saying Trump is the fascist?  What better time to take full power then now, yet he has not even flirted with it.

Meanwhile, the Dems keep on insisting we need to use war powers to completely take over industry.

You can see it through any lens you choose, Alan, but the title of the article is “We are living in a failed state”.

Consider that for a moment before you blindly rush to defend the politicians who have enabled this.

We're not, though, living in a failed state.  We are living in a very successful state.  This virus will be a momentary hiccup, that's it.  Prior to this virus, there was not measure of life that was worse then with Obama.

Might be interesting to conduct an experiment whereby an African-American male walks around town with an AR-15 on his shoulder exercising his rights, see what happens.

Try this one...armed black panthers

Those idiots? Keep the rally peaceful?  Not a chance. They’re more a danger to themselves and the public than a safety factor.

The forum maroon strikes again, lost in his Canadian fog, telling us how things are in America.

Again exactly HOW MANY shooting incidents involving those guns at a rally can you point us to?  Or are you trying, and failing once again, to be sacrastic?

You just show how ignorant non-Americans are.

So you're a doctor and understand these things.  The president and most people wouldn't know an alveoli from a trachea from an elbow. So when someone hears of a preventative solution outside the body, he explores other possibilities and figures maybe it could be used inside.  That's being creative.  After all, we use X Rays and chemo to kill cancer.  But it's use is extremely dangerous and there are huge side effects including breakdown of healthy cells.  The whole thing was made into a political hit job as usual.  The fact is he was right on at least some things such as the UV light actually being already investigated. His ideas were directed in a suggestive way to the scientist who just made the presentation trying to be positive and hopeful to the people that government scientists are working on the problem and hopefully will solve or at least help it.  That's how the media should have presented it instead of laughing at Trump's lack of an immunology degree.  Hit job, again, as been going on for 4 1/2 years.  Doc, you're a smart guy.  You should be able to see what's going on instead of using your professional credentials to give the attack credibility.

I said it before, if you don’t know what you are talking about, you shouldn’t try to look smart about it in public. But that requires some self awareness and control which Trump is lacking.

More and more people starting to see what this is about, as I said many pages ago - fascism rising:

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/ny-times-msnbc-journalist-warns-fascism-could-come-to-us-if-coronavirus-shutdowns-wreck-economy

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/29/elon-musk-slams-coronavirus-shelter-in-place-orders-as-fascist.html?fbclid=IwAR176ySYzNY0SyNmF2-r9OzBf1LbxDvRzNYDT2RLaZD7DGBXV1MV6YYpPF4

Re Musk, don’t forget the rest of the tweets from the series, likely during some pot smoking binge. In one of them he complained Tesla’s stock is too high and subsequently dropped by 10%. FYI, he was already under investigation for similar tweets.

How much of America have YOU seen?

Just because there have been no assault weapon related incidents at rallys SO FAR doesn’t mean they aren’t a danger, which was my claim.

If that’s how you read you haven’t understood much Alan.

I was expecting you to mostly agree with what is written here.

But that would mean acknowledging that your god isn’t any better...  ;D And that he is not working for you but for his rich pals.

Regards,
Bernard
Who do you think Biden is working for? You see, you and the other anti-Trumpers have no one who's better.  Hillary?  The Clinton's?  Give me a break.  Sanders? So you're running an anti-Trump campaign.  Just to vote against the man without having anyone of value to takes his place.  That seems to have worked in 2018.  So the Democrats are doubling down for 2020. It might be good strategy.  We'll see in November.

But in the end, we voters, not you foreigners, have to make a choice.  The country doesn't run with a "no president".  You have to elect someone.  There's no "anti-Trump" checkbox on the ballot. And checking off Biden not only gets us another insider, but one who'll be a complete puppet to the rich and powerful forces that have traditionally run the country for their benefit.

This is what America is about... and there were times when even Democrats understood that:
Patriotism today means looking for another government handout.

Biden last week said he was nothing more then a transition candidate to help get the Pete Buttigeigs of the world in.  So, essentially he admitted he was nothing but a dead man walking working on getting radicals into the white house.   What a choice.  He already admitted that he is not really the policy setter, but who ever comes in with him.

Makes it easier for the other side considering the people he schmoozing with.

Damn.  I'm missing only Delaware.  I do have Puerto Rico, though.
And the Canal Zone. Twice. Even though it doesn't count any more.

No idea WTF you mean about the "Well, maybe someday" excuse.

It's true that Trump shoots from the hip.  It makes me squirm too.  I remember at the first Republican debate in 2016 when there were 17 candidates running.  The moderator asked everyone whether they would support the Republican nominee whoever it was.  He was the only one who said "maybe", if he was treated fairly.  Everyone moaned, including me.  But he went to to win.  That's who he is.  An outsider.  A bull in a China shop.  He tells you how it is and what he's feeling.  Although lately, he's trying to cool it for the election.  But people were tired of the same politicians who talk out of both sides of their mouths.  Taking one position only to change it when it's convenient.  All phoneys.  With Trump you get what you see.  Like it or not.  Orange glow or not.

Musk is a rebel, the kind Americans like.  The wild west cowboy, alone on the range, surviving savage Indians and wolves. Foreigners like him too.  He's the kind of American most foreigners living dull dreary lives want to emulate. They watch it, eat it up, then complain about the American ethic with envy. They run out and buy jeans and copy our culture.  It's a love-hate affair.

He tells you how it is

Nope.  You keep saying this, but that doesn't make it true.

He says what he thinks his supporters want to hear.

And, apparently, you do.

There are lots of rebels that Americans don't like though, aren't there? It's tough to choose sometimes.

You didn't read my whole post.  I said, "He makes me squirm."  There are many things he says that are incorrigible, nasty, egotistical, even mean.  He's not your typical silver tongue politician.  He takes on the opposition particularly the media.  He's not afraid to call a spade a spade.  "China steals from us.  We're goin' to get them."  "Our friends steal from us.  We're goin' to get them too." I understand why a foreigner may not like that.  But then again, he doesn't work for you, but us.  Hopefully, at the election, Americans will have to make a choice.  Do they want a strong ineloquent sometimes nasty chief executive protecting the country.  Or another weak politician, who's napping and giving away the country?

Or someone who screwed the pooch on this pandemic and now people are dying at 2,000 / day and the economy is sinking deeper every day.
