« on: April 03, 2020, 11:47:52 am »

Hello Everyone,

We have placed some new ads on the forum. Subscribers should not be able to see these new ads. if you are a subscriber and see the new ads, or if the new ads are causing some other problem like pages not loading, please let me know in this thread and I will try to fix it by the end of the day. We are sorry for this annoyance.

Same here.  Subscriber, and annoying, even non-photo-related ads even “inside” of individual posts in the forum.  Gives LULA a nice, 3rd rate look.  ☹️

I have seen the ads when first logging in (using Safari in Catalina).  But if I refresh they disappear and don't see them again during that session.

Logged in on the forum side, saw ads.
Went to the site home page, wasn't logged in.
Logged in on the home page, went back to the forums, saw no ads.
Possibly a cross site setup issue??

Subscriber.  Ad still showing up on iPad Pro, and Windows PC w/ Google Chrome.

Getting tedious.

I got the ads to go away, at least for now, by logging out and then back in again.

Ads are back. Logged out, back in again. No joy.

And what's this "login helper" thingie? I can see that I'm logged in already!

Also, I can no longer read articles.

Do you have an active subscription? The webmaster says you do not.

I guess it must have silently expired. I tried to renew. It told me to reenter my address in my profile information, which had disappeared. Then it asked me for my address again on another screen. Finally, it took my CC information. No ads, at least for now.

Isn't there a way to have automatic renewal? That would seem like a good marketing strategy for you.

Automatic renewals work when PayPal is used to pay for the subscription. It certainly did a few months ago in my case.

Cheers,

Ads now appearing on our old iPad.  Logged off and logged on, ads disappeared!  Irritating.

I logged in as a subscriber the other day, and now see ads not just mid-page, but mid-post, in-between paragraphs!?
