Trula
« on: March 22, 2020, 04:30:35 am »

I think I’m going to call it a day, here on Trula.

Apart of a bunch of ‘wise-noses about everything’ and an endless pro / con Trump discussion, here is not much to do about photography. Not to mention the hypocritical moderation about what is allowed to say and what not, Trula (Trump Landscape) is a pathetic shadow of what it was.

So long, Trula.

Hope we all stay safe.

Kind regards, Ivo

Sorry to see you go; there's nothing much going on because many of the European camera shops are closed. You can't feed GAS like that.

As for Tump: as many hate the devious guy as not.

Hope you change your mind - and stay safe, too.

Rob

This is too often true and I am as guilty as anyone for participating in some of it.

Some interesting threads may have popped up recently about what home-bound photo projects. These may turn out to be interesting.

I understand you wanting to take a step back but I'd miss your contributions. Maybe you could check in now and then, see if the air has cleared?

Ivo, as far as I can see all these discussions about Trump etc are well concentrated in topics that one must not read if one doesn't want to.
For most of us, who are more interested in photography, it suffices just not to open them, or just sporadically to see what's going on.
Just ignore the Coffee Corner (except maybe the Touch of Humor) and that's it.
Just MHO  ::)

Come on, Ivo. Screw up your courage and stick around. Yes, the coffee corner is a sequence of arguments based on uninformed opinion. You can simply ignore that. Yes, occasionally there are photographic clashes over abstractions such as genres. But running away from disagreements isn’t going to help. As is the case with most of the people who post on LuLa, you do some good work and some bad work. Let’s keep on seeing what you’re doing. It’s always interesting.

If we got a dollar for every YAGE LuLa quitter, we could finance LuLa for a full year.
And if we got a dollar for every returning YAGE LuLa quitter, we could finance LuLa for several years.

YAGE?

I'm too old to understand digital code; what does YAGE mean?

Rob

P.S.

LuLa is very slow for me today; takes a while to post or to change slots. Watching on Chrome.

That gave me a giggle!

You made me feel like the 50s version  of the The Reader's Digest:

Thanks for the explanation, though!

Rob and Russ,

Step up to the 21st century and check Urban Dictionary first.

P.S. rabanito, thanks!
