A Concept too Brilliant not to Imitate
« on: March 17, 2020, 06:34:54 pm »

I take no credit for the idea behind this image.  A copy of the original was forwarded to me by my brother, who found it on somebody's Facebook page.  With a little Internet sleuthing, I tracked down the original, which is here.  However, the concept is such a perfect fit for what is happening almost everywhere these days that I couldn't resist the urge to recreate it with Hopper's original colors.  I don't know who the poster with the Reddit handle "Apterygiformes" is (presumably somebody from down under), but he or she unknowingly created an image back in 2014 that brilliantly captures the remarkable moment we are living through six years later.

Fascinating stuff, Chris. The Hopper is one of my all-time favorites. I think you got the colors right. Now for the people.
