Very Large Files in Capture One
« on: March 11, 2020, 09:36:31 am »

Anyone working on large panos in C1? Think stitched 100MP files. What are your machine specs?

Doing most of the editing pre-stitch, but inevitably some things need to be adjusted afterward. Mainly working in PS for this, but some things would be nice to do in C1.

Thanks!

I often stitch up to around 500MP-ish images. I think the highest was close to 800MP. Single layer 16 bit tiff. I use a A9 Macbook pro from 2018. If the image is on the local SSD, then all is good and dandy. On the other hand 100% zoom level can become clunky to pan around when the >2GB file sits on a NAS with ~100MB/s bandwidth. Adjusting a given area is still responsive though.
