Gueorgui Pinkhassov

Apologies if this is pushing in a bit on others’ interests. Gueorgui Pinkhassov seems to have a quite dramatic and fluid style. Metering for the highlights and letting the shadows fall where they may, etc. Very atmospheric at its best. Anyway, it’s different. I found his work because I am doing a project similar to his Blackpool Illuminations (it is one of the portfolios on that site link), then looked at a book of his in the library. Glad I did.

Yes his work is very interesting. I must dig around more on the Magnum site. There is a lot on it 😀

I really love his work, amazing abstract subjects and beautiful use of light and shade. I don't shoot much street photography myself but I find his work really inspirational.
