Very thin photo paper recommendations
« on: February 14, 2020, 12:52:07 pm »

I'd like to print a mock magazine with my photos on my P800. Is there any photo paper that resembles papers commercial magazines are printed on? Preferably printable on both sides but that may be asking too much. Print quality is secondary. This will just be one or two copies so going the commercial printing route makes no sense.

The thinnest and lightest double-sided photo paper of which I'm aware is Red River Premium Matte Double-sided 32lb. / 120 gsm, whose specifications say it is 5.5 mils (0.14 mm) thick. See https://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/32lb-premium-matte-double-sided.html.

If you are considering matte papers this stuff bunches way above its price point when it comes to gamut etc..

I think of it as being a fairly thin paper despite its claim of being heavyweight.  It won't have that semigloss feeling of a high end magazine but otherwise should meet your needs.

And I haven't used this but it sounds like it is even thinner and assuming it prints as well as the other paper I mentioned it might be even more what you are looking for"
